Buffalo Calf Road Woman, or Brave Woman (c. 1844-1879) was a Northern Cheyenne woman who saved her wounded warrior brother in the Battle of the Rosebud, in 1876. Her rescue helped rally the Cheyenne warriors to win the battle.
Later that same year she was to fight alongside her husband in the battle of the Little Bighorn. She was later credited with striking the blow that knocked Lieutenant Colonel George Armstrong Custer off his horse before he died.
