Roman Imperial Cavalry

While the backbone of the Imperial Roman Army was their heavily armored Infantry Legions, the Romans also recognized the need for a professional mounted arm as well. Formed of regiments of non-Citizen Auxiliaries recruited from the provinces, these cavalry were professional soldiers paid by the Roman state. We have presented here 8 different figures of the Ala II Flavia, heavily armored in mail and armed with spears, javelins and swords. With the stunning sculpting and hand painting that is the hallmark of First Legion, these figures make a wonderful addition to any Roman toy soldier collection and stand side by side with the Imperial Roman Infantry ready to do battle wherever duty may call!
