Vikings

Vikings: Norse Raiders 8th to 11th Century! The Viking Age was the period from the 790’s to 1066 when Germanic Norse seafarers raided and traded along the northern coast of Europe from their Scandinavian homeland. With advanced seafaring skills characterized by the long ship, the Norsemen explored, expanded, and formed settlements across a wide area reaching as far as the north eastern coast of North America to the west and Russia to the east.

Swiss Mercenaries

The Swiss Mercenaries performed service in the French Army during the Medieval and Renaissance periods.    They were among the finest, most proficient soldiers in the world and had a nearly two century run of battlefield successes.    Their tactics were eventually copies and mastered by imitators such as the German Landsknechts, who were bitter rivals of the Swiss Mercenaries, and in 1525 the Swiss were defeated at Pavia as part of Francis I’s army.   Our coverage of the Swiss at Pavia features 11 Different figures which can be setup in a Pike block to oppose the German Landsknechts.

British Airbourne

We have created 13 wonderful sets featuring the elite of the British Army with wonderful sculpting and painting, particularly on the “denison” smocks which are the iconic visual signatures of British Airborne in the 2nd World War. The figures are designed to part of our Battle of Normandy range and as such are nominally the 6th Airborne Division which took part in the D-Day landings most notably at Pegasus Bridge, Merville, and Breville to name a few. However, it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to use these same figures as double duty as the 1st Airborne Division during Operation Market Garden as well and they were designed with that battle very much in mind as well.
