As a tribute to Resistance Forces everywhere K&C is proud to honor these brave individuals with this first release of "French Forces of the Interior" better known as the "FFI" or "Maquis".

On September 1, 1939 Hitler launched his armies on his neighbor Poland in a dazzling and deadly military display of combined arms that came to be known as "Blitzkrieg" or... 'Lightning War'. As vast columns of fast moving German armour smashed across the Polish frontier aerial armadas of 'Stuka' dive bombers, Heinkel, Junkers and Dornier bombers backed up by swarms of Messerschmitt fighters roamed and ruled the skies above.

To mark and remember the 60th Anniversary of this famous battle in the Ardennes Forest during December and January of 1944/45. All of these new figures are wearing a typical late-war, cold weather assortment of army great coats, 1943 field jackets, gloves and scarves. They are even partially covered in frost and snow, you almost feel the cold and see their icy breath!

In August 1942, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill paid a surprise visit to see the men of the Eighth Army fighting in North Africa. During his trip Churchill inspected many different units of Britain's Desert Army and met with the newly appointed Commanding General Bernard Montgomery better known as "Monty".

On the "Atlantic Wall" section of their defenses they utilized millions of land mines, thousands of machine guns and many hundreds of artillery guns both in fixed and mobile batteries.

The Waffen SS initially started out as a small group designed to protect the Fuhrer. But it quickly grew into one of the most brutal, fanatical and feared military organizations in history. By the end of World War Two it had grown to an armed force of over 1 million men, spread across 28 divisions.
We have expanded this section to contain other elements of the German Army in Europe between 1939 and 1945.

Loud, boisterous and sometimes out-of-control they could be seen all over Germany's cities, towns and even villages campaigning or even threatening on behalf of their Fuhrer Adolf Hitler.
