The 35th Foot is best known for the massacre inflicted upon it in August 1757 at Fort William Henry, during the French & Indian War. French General Montcalm allowed the unit to surrender and leave with their weapons. However, during their departure the Native American (Indian) Allies of the French attacked them, killing 185. The Regiment would have their revenge at the Battle of Quebec in 1759, when they routed the French Royal Rousillon Regiment. These six figures will be joined by another six later in the year so an entire line can be created.
