Collect the Soldiers and Leaders from the wars of the 20th Century
This collection brings you unique hand-painted 7cm (2 3/4") die cast figures
of soldiers from the most characteristic regiments of the wars of the 20th century.
A series exclusively designed for Del Prado Publishers, with meticulous, accurately
detailed and thoroughly documented reproductions, for the true collector.
The Soldiers, the Uniforms, the Equipment, the Weapons
Special emphasis is placed on the diversity, colorfulness and detail of the uniforms,
an essential element of all organized armed forces. Each soldier wears uniform,
insignias and is equipped according to the force he belongs to (whether infantry,
armored corps, navy, air force, etc.) as well as his mission (commando, paratrooper,
etc.), field of action and his territorial base (Europe, Africa, Asia).
The Countries, the Armies at War, the Fronts, the Wars
A collection that reflects the diversity of the countries and their respective armies,
that came into conflict during the most important wars in the 20th century. Soldiers
from Germany, France, United Kingdom, United States, Spain, Italy, Russia, Japan,
Vietnam, Australia, Poland, Turkey and other countries are represented in the collection
in numbers proportionate with their importance in the actual great conflicts. Although
the main weight of this representation falls logically on the two 1914-1918 and
1939-1945 world wars, soldiers from the Russian and Spanish Civil Wars have also
been included, as well as those from Korea, Vietnam and other. This way the collector
can acquire a wide range of figures with uniforms, equipment and portable weaponry
from the main fighting forces involved on various fronts.
The Collection
The soldiers making up the collection are the subject of the same scrupulous selection
process as those that appear in the publications by Osprey, specialists in military
and historical subject matter, who have in turn collaborated with the design of
the figures in this collection. As well as detailing the soldier in question, the
included Osprey booklet also offers the opportunity to view other closely related
military figures belonging to the same force or field of action. This fully explains
the historical context of each figure in the collection.
Men at War 1914-2000 is made up of the following:
• 100 Accurately reproduced die cast figures, measuring approximately 7 cm (2 3/4").
• Booklets accompanying the miniatures which provide information about the particular
figure, and others, with full-color illustrations.
